    Please take notice that on Tuesday, October 9th from 8am to 4pm The Village of Wappingers Falls Highway Department will be fixing a drain at the intersection of West Main Street (US Rt. 9D) and East Main Street.  Be prepared for delays.  Any questions please feel free to contact the Highway Superintendent Pete Paggi at (845)297-9758.  Please note that Brush pick up will not be done until Wednesday, October 10th or Thursday, October 11th.

    WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY – Beginning Monday October 8, 2018 East Main Street from South Avenue to Route 9 will be closed due to ongoing utility and road construction.
    Traffic will be one way westbound from Route 9 to South Avenue.
    There will be no through traffic allowed eastbound in the direction of Route 9D to Route 9.
    This lane closure will remain in effect for three to five weeks.

  • By Executive order of the Mayor of the Village of Wappingers Falls, Please be advised that "During the evening hours of October 30th, 2018 thru November 1st, 2018 between the hours of 9:00PM to 5:00AM the following day, it shall be unlawful for any minor to congregate, loiter, wander, remain or play in or upon any public place, public park, publc area, street, road or highway in the Village.
    A)  The terms "remain" and "loiter" mean:  1) linger or stay, or 2) fail to leave premises when requested to do so by a police officer, owner, orperator or other person in control of the premises.
    B)  "Minor" means under the age of 18 years of age.

    Residents of the Village of Wappingers Falls are being advised that fire hydrant flushing will take place for nearly two weeks.  The Village of Wappingers Falls Water Department will be flushing hydrants from Oct. 22 until Nov. 3.  Residents are advised to check the water prior to doing laundry and to allow water to run until it clears if any discoloration occurs, according to the water department.
