INFORMATION REGARDING PREPAYMENT OF 2018 STATE, COUNTY & TOWN TAXES
On Friday, December 22, 2017 Governer Cuomo issued Emergency Executive Order 172 in order to allow local governments and school districts to collect 2018 taxes early in order to be deducted on the 2017 taxes, due to changes in the federal tax code. There seems to be some confusion about what taxes this emergency executive order actually affects. Please note that this executive order only affects municipalities with a January 1 fiscal start date ( collect taxes in January) or those that collect a second installment in January. Since the Village of Wappingers Falls does not fall into either of these categories, we cannot issue a tax warrant and allow the collection of taxes early. This information has been confirmed by correspondence received from NYCOM (New York conference of Mayors) on both December 22 and December 27.

Relevy for Water/Sewer and Residential Garbage District
Dear Residents and Home Owners: Please note that it's the end of the year and any unpaid Water/Sewer or Garbage amounts will be relevied to the 2018-2019 Village Tax Bill. Payments must be received on or before Wednesday, April 4th, 4pm.

Residential Structure Demolition Contract-Franny Reese Project-Pre Bid Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 7th @ 9:00am has been rescheduled due to the pending inclement weather to Friday, March 9th at 9:00 am.
Flushing of Hydrants
Notice to Village of Wappingers Falls Residents- the Village of Wappingers Falls Water Department will be conducting hydrant flow testing along with hydrant flushing from April 30, 2018 to May 31, 2018. Dirty water and or low flow conditions may be experinced during this time. It is advised to check your water before doing laundry, and to all the water to run until it clears if any discoloration occurs. MEMORIAL DAY SERVICES
Memorial Day services will be held on Monday, May 28th at Mesier Park 9AM. In the event of inclement weather services will be moved to the Knights of Columbus 9:15AM. Lunch will be served at the VFW after 10AM.
Summer Concert-The Feds
Friday, May 25th starts the kick off of the Summer Concert Series. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and enjoy the sounds of Rock N' Roll with our local Mail Carriers-THE FEDS. Concerts start at 7PM at Mesier Park. If you have any questions please contact Tammy at (845)242-8805.
VILLAGE TAX BILLS
Please take notice that Village taxes will be due on Monday, July 2nd. Village Hall hours are Monday-Friday 8/30am-4pm.
NOTICE TO VILLAGE OF WAPPINGERS FALLS WATER USERS
The Village of Wappingers Falls Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the Village from Monday, July 23rd through Saturday, August 4th. Residents are advised to check the water prior to doing laundry, and to allow water to run until it clears if any discoloration occurs.

The Village of Wappingers Falls Police Department has issued an advisory for residents to lock their vehicles and keep items of value out of sight in their vehicles. Dating back to approximately July 9, the police have received several reports of unlocked vehicles being entered and property being stolen.
